Back story
Due to the remote locations and vast land requirements needed for most renewable energy projects, servicing these locations can result in a larger environmental footprint. To mitigate the associated impact, American Rock Products and Hood River Sand & Gravel developed a strategy of deploying several portable RMX plants to be located within a ~5 miles radius to the peak concrete delivery point of the projects.
Since its development four years ago, the initiative has since successfully supplied 148K cubic yards of concrete on five separate renewable energy projects. Combined, these five renewable energy projects generate over 1000 Megawatts of clean energy, which can power over 650,000 homes.
